I hate to traumatize everyone with this story but I really want to - TopicsExpress

I hate to traumatize everyone with this story but I really want to know if anyone has any info on a situation Jerms & I witnessed this afternoon. We were riding our bikes in Good Hope on the road that goes beside the primary school (to the left side of it) & heard a vehicle behind us...I could hear it making a weird noise like it was dragging a limb or something. It was past the 4 way stop if the school (side of it) is on your left...right where the sidewalk starts. I looked up to see what the noise was as the truck passed & saw that a small dog was being dragged behind it on a leash. Needless to say, I went ape-crap crazy and started screaming hysterically. Jeremy realized what I was seeing and he started yelling and waiving his arms. The guy stopped and said Oh my God! I forgot he was tied up back there! He wasnt as devastated as I was but maybe he was in shock. Plus, I was running towards him screaming choice words. A young boy...maybe about 10 yrs old...was in the truck with him & Jerms said he saw him getting very upset when he realized what was going on. I asked the guy if he was going to take the dog to the vet...he was bleeding a lot from his little feet...he was dragged a pretty long way. He told me he was and I hope he was being honest. I even followed up with Cullman Regional to see if anyone had called in with a vet emergency and someone had but they didnt say what the emergency was. We were so upset we didnt see a lot of details but we think it was a white Ford F150 & it had a disabled veteran tag. I said all of this to say, I PRAY it was truly an accident...my heart goes out to the guy if it was. But if ANY of you know who he might be, my heart would feel a lot better if I knew the dog has been treated and will be ok. Im totally traumatized from seeing it. It was a little yellow/light brown terrier mix...maybe a Yorkie mix. His little feet looked so bad but not life threatening. Anyway...if any of this sounds like someone you know, I will seriously go knock on their door to make sure the dog is ok!
