I have a 10 year old German shepherd girl who will be 11 in October who is now displaying neurological problems with her back legs. Tests are planed next week to determine exactly what neurological disease/disorder it is. Obviously Degenerative Myeopathy being the worst scenario. But the vet is sure and has aid that she will never be normal again with her back legs. On top of this she does have hip dysplasia. Other than that she is healthy within herself. So I really could do with any advice relating to possible aids that may help e.g. lifiting, cart people have used that have been good. Diet, Alternative meds or homeopathic treatments. I have a multiple household with another elderly masin and a 7 month old Belgian shepherd and 7 cats and kittens they are all rescues and I am in Spain and they are not so educated nor do they have the resources so freely available so I will need to order them in. . Summer is the last surviving sister form the litter of 3 I rescued as complete newborns out a skip. Her last surving sister I lost last year to Hemangiosarcoma in her heart. Summer is my fur baby and I will do what I can for her as long as she is healthy and pain free and can have a quality of life - to her that will be just ebing with her family as she is my shadow and never leaves my side.. She is just uncoordinated in her walking at this point and back nail scraping but the vet did a test of turning her back paw under and she righted them so it may not be DM (praying) and day to day can be more severe than others. I am thinking how I can prepare for her inevitable difficulties in getting about and anything that may help or slow down this process. Thank you so much for any help you can give,
