I have a 2010 heritage, I dont get to ride it nearly as often as Id like to so it has only just over 3000 miles on it. I change the oil at least once a season, however after the second ride this season, after the oil change, I noticed what sounded like a tap, about 1hr into the ride. It would only do it though when Id let off the throttle. I was immediately paranoid it was a valve tap, and brought it right home. I checked the oil witch was actually slightly on the high side, so I drained a bit out, while hot to the proper level (not much at all) I was suspect of oil foaming. Road it again, Hard, heard nothing thought it was ok. Took it for another longer ride, about an hour each way, and on the way back heard it again. It sounds like its coming from the primary side at the bottom. And once it starts will usually do it while driving or in neutral. Anyone have any ideas what to look for? Am I being paranoid? I know my sporty was a noisy SOB, my friends and I used to call them sewing machines, I just never noticed this noise b4 On this bike. Btw performance does NOT seem effected at all. Could it just be the motor breaking in? Like I said LOW miles, when I do ride though, I ride it like I stole it
