I have a 2255 MFWA with a 2308, BUT... I asked for and was given my uncles 2255 MFWA to restore. A failure in the trans sidlined it almost 20 years ago. The 3208 ran good at that time and it is still free. The tin is rough. The axleshafts are missing from the FWA because the Bendix CV joints wore out. It has the Crenlo cab. Ok, I need to ask the highly subjective whats it worth? question (just as a ballpark) Any estimate of its value? I intend to restore it for sentimental reasons (I was the main operator of the tractor in my teens). It sits shedded right now while I slowly collect parts. I have a cab in good condition and a freshly rebuilt 3 speed power shift. I am a machinist by trade, so if worst comes to worst I could actually make new axleshafts, but I would need a sample specimen loaned to me in order to blueprint it. My two biggest worries are 1) parts availability for whatever failed in the transmission and 2) the hood and side panel tin, since they were unique to the 2255 and thus I would assume scarce. Mine are pretty beat up and broken out at some of the bolt locations. I have zero skill at bodywork. Any advice?
