I have a busy day here because on Tuesday I will be back in the CD chair again. I am almost done with scheduling and I think I have put together a program that will complement the destination cruise experience that is Alaska. One thing I will have to get used to is sharing the PA system. Usually the only other person you will here is the Captain who will give you his noon time announcement but here on the Carnival Miracle I have to share it with the wonderful Michelle our naturalist and wild life expert and in Glacier Bay and Tracy Arm I share it with the Park Rangers. In fact I am banned, banished and forbidden to use the PA system while in Glacier Bay because my voice could apparently melt an iceberg and disturb the mating rituals of seals, birds, yaks and the couple in cabin 8284. I am actually being serious, I really am not allowed to use the PA system until the Rangers have disembarked so as I will have no internet in Glacier Bay I shall wander amongst the guests looking for a whale or a tree to hug. There is no doubt how much the guests appreciated the Rangers coming on board though and their experience and knowledge is something that truly enhances the Alaskan experience while in Glacier Bay. Ok, I will be back here shortly after I have discussed with the staff here just how we get more than 4 people in the nightclub each night. The piano bar is packed, Adam does a wonderful job. The two soloists Vinny and Dylan are superb as is the party band arriving on Tuesday who are of course Music Unlimited and I know they will have a great following as usual. The Punchliner Comedy Club times need to be tweaked a little but will without doubt be as popular as ever but the nightclub……………..is as empty as a eunuch’s underpants. Any suggestions?
