I have a child who will be home sick today and is in tears because she waa told yesterday that if she was not at school to take her finals today that she would get a zero and that this would count as 40% of her grade. She went to school yesterday feeling bad but felt so much pressure to be there to prepare for these finals that she went feeling bad. She has ran a fever all night and is aching so bad she is in tears this morning. So basically because this crud picked this week to invade her body she could potentially fail? How is that fair? She has not missed a day of school until today. I see a phone call in my future and a trip to the doctor in hers.
