I have a concern... Im still pretty new to chicken keeping and I - TopicsExpress

I have a concern... Im still pretty new to chicken keeping and I am concerned about the nights getting cold. I know AZ doesnt get nearly as cold as many other places and chickens survive just fine. However my coop/run is made of plywood on 3 sides and the 4th side has the door and is covered with chicken wire (we didnt go all out in expense for the chickens). One of my girls does not get on the roost with the other girls most nights and I notice she has black spots on her comb. Im sure it is not fowl pox like some have suggested to me. I am afraid she is getting frost bite because I have no idea what else it could be. Anyway, I am scared of leaving the girls out tonight since its supposed to get really cold but I dont really have another solution... I only have 1 dog crate that is probably only about 24X18 and I have 4 hens. I dont think that would be enough space for them for the night? I was thinking about bringing them into the garage in the crate but do you all think they are fine outside instead?
