I have a confession……I hate water! Oh yeah, I know “your body’s 80% water and you need to be hydrated”. Well, I’m no expert….but, many doctors and nutritionists agree that water based herbal teas (no caffeine) are acceptable. Lemons, limes…..I’ve just never really gotten used to water that makes me pucker! I was drinking the Lipton 5 calorie teas with honey. Unfortunately, they do contain some “unclean” ingredients but, I was able to get down close to 3 liters per day (2 packets to my 2.2 liter jug). Since I have vertigo, I decided to finally get rid of my habit as I would have out of control cravings from the artificial sweetener (Sucralose) and the dizziness of the vertigo that many believe is caused by artificial sweeteners. I know drink my water with citrus (lemons/limes) and a touch of stevia, I like to call it the “poor woman’s lemonade”, makes my husband laugh. I try to remember to bring my stevia when we go out, sometimes I forget and I’ll use the pink stuff and I usually get a teasing. What do you drink to keep your body hydrated? ~Jen~
