I have a confession, or maybe its more of a rant, Im not sure. But I feel like people see me in the wrong light. I often hear people say I am aweful, mean, rude or insensitive. But let me tell you some things you dont know. In 2014 I worked in mental health taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves. I spent hours upon hours working with the elderly at a hospital talking to them and taking them to appointments when needed.I also donated close to 400 dollars to charities and relays because I believe it makes a difference. I work two jobs right now, not because I want or enjoy it, but because I have a disease that is expensive to care for. I cannot eat what a person without it can, and healthy food is more expensive than McDonalds and Wendys. I love children and see them as the purest people in our world. Its not that I dont like children when they misbehave, I dislike the parents for not giving them the time they need. I went out for dinner last night. Sure enough they were about to close and the waitress? She wasnt the most polite at first. But what did I do? I left her a 20 on an 18 dollar bill because I felt the urge to give a little back. I dont lie, I have never cheated and I am a confidant to many of my friends. I pick people up from the bars to make sure they get home safely. But do people know all of this? No. I dont open up all the time. Its hard for me to do. There are a lot of things that I am not proud of in my past but Ill be damned if Im going to let these mistakes get the better of me. I love who I am and what I have accomplished. I love my family even though they annoy the hell out of me at times. My close friends are something that I never could have hoped for and they have brought me through the toughest of times. Im no saint, but the little bit of extra that I do is what keeps me going. I like to think that I make a difference, that I mean something. And as always, I have to throw in that I love my cat.. But as for everyone else, I hope everyone has a nice holiday and a good new year. Though I am not always a fan of the holidays, if youre alone, or need a shoulder to lean on...Im here.
