I have a daughter, and Im also a single father whos faced domestic violence accusations in court. I will raise my daughter to be a strong independent woman, who acts like a real lady. Its not okay for men or WOMEN to strike each other under any circumstance. If she ever feels threatened or controlled by any man Im always one call or text away. Women should not try to fight a man because it puts a man in a difficult situation that most cant handle properly. In no way will I ever excuse a man for hitting a woman, but in no way will I ever excuse a woman for spitting and slapping a man in the face then expecting a good result. DVs a sensitive subject for myself because as a man we walk on eggshells even talking about it because of the labels that are bestowed upon so easily, while our female counterparts can physically act and be justified because theyre viewed as non threatening and unable to cause bodily harm to a man. Either way its wrong. Lets just teach our youth to do better. Anything in a relationship can be solved with words and non threatening actions. Absence is more powerful than a punch.
