I have a dream!!! ~ Mikhail Latif This was said to me by a very high level wrestler/MMA fighter with no official BJJ rank. He would like to compete in BJJ, but it would be unfair for him to compete with the white belts. He wants to compete against the best or guys his level, and doesnt want to spend years waiting to be graded when he could go out now and do well with the blacks. I know the feeling. I never wanted to be the best third division footballer, I wanted to be the best at the highest level I can achieve. And so should every other serious competitor! I would throw every colour belt medal I have away for a black belt world title! Is it time for a separation between self defence jiu jitsu, and sport jiu jitsu? I believe so..
