I have a few rants from todays troop. 1) please, whatever you do, dont send your tiny humans to come up and ask me to take a picture while Im walking. I cannot see them and chances are that Im going to trip over and hurt them. I have some sharp edges on my costume. For the safety of everyone, have someone who is at least eye level with me come up. 2) if I dont stop to take a photo with you, please dont call me rude or anything else. If I stopped for every picture, Id be stuck somewhere all day. Consider me like a celebrity. When I stop for a photo, the crowd comes flooding in and I lose my group. This isnt safe for me. We have been attacked from idiots goofing around. We can get seriously injured and we have wonderful volunteers called handlers who make sure people dont do this. 3) please dont be rough with me and please mind your children. Today, some kid punched my helmet really hard and his parents thought it was funny. The way my helmet is attached to my head could cause injury. Luckily, I just had an ache in my neck all day. But if your children are being rough, we will call security and have you and your family removed from an event. Its assault and its not okay or anything to laugh about. 4) it is not okay to grope us. Ever. Another way to get yourself escorted out by security. Just because we are in costume does not mean we want you to grab our butts(unless youre a 90-year-old lady. Then I have double standards and will probably laugh). And please dont give us your number, ladies. We dont want to date a girl who gives her number to someone she has never seen and calls a star trooper anyway.
