I have a friend that has been saying this for the last three years, and he was the only person I had heard speaking about how Black Americans should unite to control how Black money is spent until now. He talked about all of us deciding to unite and create more black-owned businesses through partnership and to patronize these businesses to get some control of the economy. He talks about the payday loan traps that are set up to catch the poor and keep them in debt with the enormous interest rates like 400%. These interest rates are not regulated or controlled by the government. I believe many corporations and big businesses do not even consider the black consumer, but they are raking in millions of dollars from these consumers. I like what my friend and Cavanaugh are saying about, uniting and controlling how the Black Community spends money, but the question is How do we do it?
