I have a fun idea I have carried for years. I would like to get some granny from Arkansas, now living in Southern California, who can forecast the weather by the aches in her bones, and pit her against the National Weather Service. Betcha Granny would smoke the NWS in terms of accuracy and would gather a huge following on local radio as she says her bit each morning. That old idea surfaces again roday because we were supposed to have heavy downpours starting at 9:00 p.m. last night and as of 4:30 this morning it was quite dry, then there was a little shower. Based on the NWS, I had the team stay home today. When we get a heavy rain, one of AT&Ts circuits in our neighborhood gets wet and a couple thousand businesses and homes lose their phone service for a couple of days. Figured we ought to just stay home and be productive and dry. So I am home, dry, warm and comfortable, irritated at the lack of inspirational rain to get my juices flowing, enjoying my oldest, most worn out, uber comfortable flannel shirt, trying to get my act together to write the newsletter that was due to the proof reader yesterday and didnt get done. After a very welcome ten hours sleep last night, I feel quite refreshed, but not very intellectually adventurous. Well, nothing to do but put fingers to keyboard and see if something surprises me and materializes from the creative zone.
