I have a good FB friend..Ron Castro, who lives her in Las Vegas...he survived the civil war of El Salvador in the late eighties/early nineties....he told me his story and asked me to prose his journey as a young boy....I hope I have done him some justice here...love ya brother Born in the city of Los Angeles In the country of the free and the brave Got caught up in some nonsense At an early age..so Mom sent him away To live with his Uncle in El Salvador A country yet foreign but with family Too bad they were in a civil war Seeing things a child should never see At the age of nine he witnessed The murder of a man and his son He cradled the lad until he took his last breath How does this happen so young The US was funding the strife The homeland he left for reasons Threatened his very young life Mud stained tear and feelings Made to work the streets at the age of 10 loading dead bodies families wrought with grief why as all this happening His uncle was murdered His life turned upside down Sent back to the homeland Vicious cycle abound The irony of his story you see His homeland of the free And the trouble he left of the streets Of Los Angeles followed him ..... Just different location But the bad guy is the same... America sticking their political noses Where they dont belong Dont feel bad for him... No dont feel sad..
