I have a great deal of respect for the Green Bay organization: the history and legacy, the rabid populist fanbase, the Lambeau mystique, the commitment to good football teams and winning. I believe that Aaron Rodgers is the #1 QB in the league. But rest assured, the Packer offense did not dominate and the Seahawks did not play terribly for 3/4 of the game. Hear me out... How many touchdowns did the most productive offense in the NFL (GB) score on Sunday? How many picks did Rodgers throw? (2 - almost half as many as he threw ALL season) I offer this as evidence of a lack of Packer offensive domination and of Seahawk defensive success. In reality, the score at the end of the third should have looked more like the AFC championship. The Seahawk offense was bad, but I would like to offer that the GB defense came to play and was at least 50% responsible for that fact. I do not know what happened to the Packer defense in the 4th quarter, but the Seahawks did not really change any game plan - their mix of plays looks much the same as the first three... I would also agree, without trying to salt his wounds, with Warren Grob - Im not sure what is up with GBs click management or play calling: one more 1st down would have iced it (and maybe their special teams should have played the onside kick the way it was coached). It was an awesome game. One team had to go home, and fans could not hope for a more dramatic and exciting ending, no matter which side they were pulling for.
