I have a great down-the-street neighbor. If I need something, and he can help, hes on it. In an attempt to partially repay his kindness, I offered to take him to dinner. Being the big spender that I am, we went for half-price cheeseburgers at Sonic. He asked if he could have a drink, too. That puts him in the high maintenance category, but I obliged. After we finished eating, he wanted me to take him to buy groceries at Wal-Mart. (Is this reminding you of the book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie?) Anyhoo, off to Wal-Mart we go. As I helped load his bags into the cart, I noticed that he got Fig Newtons. I said, You got Fig Newtons. Arent you healthy?! Marshall Ray then said (in his usual not-so-quiet voice), Yeah, theyll make you reglar, too. Hes one of a kind.
