I have a hard time believing ETVs news stories, especially when the news stories are about possible terrorist attacks by Al-Shabab on Ethiopian soil. It could very well be that one of the many TPLF security apparatuses is planning to self-orchestrate what will look like a terrorist attack only a couple of hours later to announce that they apprehended the culprits. This is one of the strategies used by TPLF to demonstrate the omnipresence of their security apparatuses to the people at large in the hope of discouraging actual terrorist attacks. I dont know see how carrying out a terrorist attack in Ethiopian soil will enhances Al-Shababs agenda. Al-Shabab attacked Westgate in Nairobi precisely because they knew they will have numerous western victims there. More western victims mean more media coverage and more media coverage means increased international profile for the terrorist organization. Unless Al-Shabab is planning to attack AU or one of the UN compounds in Addis Ababa, which is very unlikely given the huge security checks deployed around these compounds, they will not be able to have as many western victims in Addis as they had in Nairobi. It is our limited international profile that will protect us from Al-Shababs attacks not TPLFs security apparatuses. The latter are busy looting the country and imprisoning opposition politicians and journalists!
