I have a mare who I treat as PSSM positive, I havent had her tested however she used to tie up in response to grain when in work a displayed other symptoms. Since getting her she is on a low sugar, no grain high fibre diet and in 6 months have only had her tie up once (shock response from going through the fence). Im having a lot of trouble with getting her to eat properly and in turn put on weight. She no longer looks like a race horse but could still gain a fair bit of weight. She is not overly interested in food and the last two days has barely picked at her hard feed, physically there is nothing wrong. After suggestions on tasty things I can add to her feed to tempt her - she gets Lucerne hay, hygain ice, equijewel and chaff, plus a hoof supplement. She is in full work (dressage/SJ)
