I have a passport laying on my nightstand. I took it out last year with the intent of using it one last time. I cant use it though. Where would I go that the Five Eyes wouldnt see, or hear? Where could I go that is untouched by the IMF? Where could I go, to a suitable climate, free of war or famine or the pollutions that the free world freely spilled? How could I reach this mythical destination, when my passport is expired? I pulled out my passport last year with the intent of using it. I leave it out as a constant reminder that I am not free. And laying there, on my nightstand, it mocks me endlessly, because it too knows that I am too anxious to apply for another. Even if I did, where could I go, where I wouldnt have to keep a passport, as permission to come and go?
