I have a past, just as others do. Some have deeper pasts than others, but the truth is regardless of how bad a persons past or not, sin is sin. I realize that. I had someone make a remark to me, which I find to have been very disrespectful and rude about an area in my past. I shrugged it off....why? Because I KNOW that I have been FORGIVEN 100% by the ONE and ONLY that truly matters, and thats God. The person who decided to speak without thinking, I know was only trying to be a stumbling block. If I were the person I used to be, I could have easily sat down and laid out all of the facts of their life, their past, their present and their future and I assure them they wouldnt have felt very good about themselves at all. Yet I knew a secret, its not my place to judge them or be so disrespectful. Its not my place to sink to that level, it is my place to shrug it off, give it to God and let God deal with people like this. In all honesty, my response was a laugh and saying SORRY YOUVE NOT BEEN AROUND ME LIKE YOU USED TO BE, YOU TRULY DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME NOW, I laughed it off went away and went into prayer and I gave it to God. I will not listen to the voice of the accuser, I choose to listen to the voice of truth and thats the voice of God. I dont live to please people or to explain who I am today, my actions, my words, the way that I live my life should explain it all. My past is my past, just as everyones past is their past, yet some still live like their past, but not me, I dont live in my past anymore, God forgave me and made me NEW and ALIVE in Christ. The person I once was, is not the person I am today and each day I find myself changing for the better more and more through Christ. Never let anyone bring something up from your past that you KNOW God has already forgiven you for and pardoned. Dont let it get on the inside of you, dont even give it a second thought. Laugh and simply say, I dont live there anymore and Ive been forgiven, then walk away while saying I pray the same thing for you! GOD BLESS! #ThroughForgivenessYOUARENOTYOURPAST ;)
