I have a post from a friend i want to share with you all. Can you please give me some suggestions as how to respond to her? Here is her post: The news reports credit card companies are considering adding chips to credit cards in an effort to make them more secure. Sounds like a precursor to the mark of the beast to me. They will soon realize... Who needs a card at all! Lets just insert this in our bodies. We r getting closer to the Rapture. This is VERY exciting! As I read it, Believers will be out of here anytime prior to the signing of the peace treaty which allows Israel to rebuild the Temple on the Temple Mount- which they are ready to do. (There should be a pretty good war prior to that with Israel having some leverage.) That will probably coincide with the chip (or tattoo scan) and the establishment of one world currency. Once that treaty is signed, that starts the clock on the 7 years of the Tribulation- which means Gods wrath. The anti-Christ will definitely be on the scene. Since Believers are not supposed to receive the wrath of God (Jesus absorbed that for us on the cross, praise God!), we will be raptured- grabbed out of here in the blink of an eye- meeting our Savior in the sky! As the generation that has seen Israel come back into her land, we ARE the generation that will see these things... I dont know when, but we are told to watch for the signs. Im watching, and Im excited. My response: was a lot of scriptures from Mathew and this: WE must see the man of lawlessness revealed first and a rebellion, falling away first, go through some tribulation before the days are cut short.....we are in tribulation now....all over the world, maybe not America this month, but soon to come.....all believers faith will be tested like never before, we must always be ready.... Her very long response plus another commentator: people often confuse the Rapture with events of the Second coming of Christ. The mix of scripture on these two events can be quite confusing! The 7 years of Tribulation begins at the exact moment when Israel signs a peace treaty with the anti Christ allowing her to rebuild the temple on the Temple Mount, which is presently where the Muslim Dome of the Rock stands... and not one second sooner. We are presently in the church age (which began at the death of Christ and goes on until that last person on Gods list accepts Christ.) and that signing will end that time clock and begin the tribulation. There is not one thing that HAS to happen prior to the Rapture (except that everyone on Gods list must believe. Who is that last person?!) Now in many of the scriptures you posted, these are things that will take place after the rapture, but DURING the Trib... prior to the second coming of Jesus (as many call it) when EVERY eye will see Him as He swoops down to save the Remnant of Israel prior to their complete annihilation in the Battle of Armageddon. During the Rapture, we will meet Him in the air. Our job of spreading the Gospel truth on earth will be done. The trumpet (shofar) will sound and we will be gathered in the blink of an eye. From this point, He will use other methods to spread the truth of the Gospel- the two witnesses (probably Elijah and Enoch. They never died, and they will have to die at the end of their mission), angels flying to and Fro proclaiming truth over the aggravated masses, and the Remnant of Israel, which will come to believe in Christ, 144,000 strong, in one day- right when they are thrown out of their Temple. At the end of the seven years when Israel is about to be annihilated, you will see Him coming on the clouds and at that point He will touch down on the amount of Olives near the east gate of the Temple and shut down the battle with one word. It is then that EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess Jesus is Lord. Then begins the thousand year reign, etc. No one but believers will see Christ during the rapture. When the dust settles, the anti Christ will offer the very confused masses a LIE about where everyone went, and the Bible says they will believe it. He will also broker the peace treaty w Israel, and fix the financial crises using the mark of the beast and one world currency. This is why he will be seen as a hero at that time, until three years into the Trib when he casts Israel out of her Temple and sets himself up as god. At that point, Israel believes in Christ and runs for the hills. Every nation turns upon her which culminates in the Battle of Armageddon at the end of the seven years. Other commentator: There is already a great falling away, and much rebellion. Believe me, this is NOT the Tribulation. All this persecution is the wrath of MAN, not God. God warns us these things are going to happen as a precursor to the Trib, but this is NOT the Tribulation. As a Believer, you will see everything leading up to it, and things will get worse, but you will not see it. Jesus describes these signs as labor pains. So as we see things getting worse, we can actually rejoice, because we know Jesus is coming REALLY soon! My friend: You must realize, some of these scriptures, especially in. Matthew 24, are greatly intended as instructional for those who will be left behind, as well as to strengthen those of us who are believers now. Other commentator: We are not appointed unto wrath, we will not see see the man of perdition My reply: We must be so special to The Lord in order for us to escape satans wrath. I know we will not experience Gods wrath in the last 3.5 years of the 7 year trib but I cant understand why we Christians in this generation are more special than Jesus disciples and any other generational Christian as to escape persecution. I clearly read in the Word that there would be a falling away... Hearts would grow cold...and even the most elect would be deceived in those days. Faith has always been tested and I believe that the testing a and trials will get so strong in the last days and true Christians faith will be known when they are faced with whether or not they have to accept the mark to feed their children or be beheaded. There is such a thing today called the emergent church with hyper grace and a mockery of grace and grieving of the Holy Spirit all in the name of belief. Even the demons believe in Jesus. We cant merely claim to just believe and then not obey and not love and not be a disciple. I do not believe that the ones that claim they belong to Jesus and use grace as a license to sin will be able to withstand persecution when it comes. Other commentator: Falling away is already happening, and living in a world saturated in sin is persecution and being unable to voice your opinion for fear of losing your job, what is that? We are in the world but not of but we have grace available, yes, but if you are truly a God lover just being in this world is persecution, many times you get it in your own household.
