I have a prayer request! Recently, I found out about a doctoral program that researches adoptive families with the goal of learning how to help adoptive parents and adoptees cope with post adoption placements. I feel that I am called to such work. It is my desire to enter the program next fall (1 year from now) in the hopes of gaining my PhD in cognitive studies. To do this I need to finish my undergrad degree at ORU which is only 4 classes (1 being senior paper) I need to take the GRE (Im weak in math!!) and pass it! And I need to be accepted to the PhD program. All of this may sound routine and it is except Im scared out of my wits! On the other hand I was scared out of my wits when I entered college to begin with and Ive maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher from day one. I know God can place me where he wants me and he will equip me since he called me but this is me reaching for the moon! The program Im looking into had only graduated 233 PhDs since 1963! Thats some low numbers and I have dyslexia and ADHD. I would not be brave enough to try if I didnt feel that God is calling me to this field. All I ask is for prayer! Lots of prayer!
