I have a problem and would love input. I have a customer who wants a wool handknit sweater overdyed (golden yellow color currently) because she has what she thinks is ink spots on it. I am hesitant to overdye a dark color, worried I may not be able to achieve an even dye. I suggested she try original blue Dawn straight on the spots, using a lot, and letting it soak in for several hours. Then she could give it a good rinse. Im hoping that may help to remove or start to release whatever this is. I also am playing with the idea of clipping out the small spots and re-weaving the knit stitches in (she has yarn). The largest spot is about dime size and the other three are very small. Any input or suggestions?
