I have a question about what our best option would be regarding Julies coat... We got her at 10 mos old and her undercoat is matted quite a bit... Now, were used to dealing with a thick undercoat from our fluffy Corgi, but the problem is, Julie seems to be extremely sensitive and starts screaming as soon as you put just a regular brush to her outer coat, let alone trying to comb out her undercoat... Were thinking best course of action would be to wait for Spring till the temps are at around 66-70 (shes an indoor dog, by the way) and then get it all cut off and have a fresh start with a new coat and keep it maintained regularly... Im afraid continuing the dematting now would traumatize her to a point where shes be afraid of even the regular weekly grooming... What do you suggest?
