I have a question for all of you...are any of you divorced? If so, how do you handle visits? My ex husband has not cared for our daughter since she was 3, he was angered by the seizures waking him, by the behavior that resulted...the kids and I were made to leave by child protective services in 2007. Only 1 MO after her surgery. Caities seizures have come back, uncontrolled. She is 11 now, on the autism spectrum, schooled at home by order of her neurologist, not allowed out in extreme heat, and just got her menstrual cycle a week ago. Not to mention she is scar3d to death of her dad. He last his temper a few weeks ago and it was very bad...if she is not on her rwgular schedule, it takes a week to get her back on track.Her physicians are going to try birth control pills to keep her hormone level stable. They want her to try Onfi, which I hesitate to do...I dont like the reports. How on earth do I send her to visit someone who has never cared for her seizures, has no frame of reference to work with concerning her seizures and behavior? He refuses to do so much as keep track of her seizures. Does anyone have experience with this? And off topic...does anyone have experience with Onfi...Ive only heard/read negative things about it. Thank you!
