I have a question for all of you, my friends. When is the last time you swung on a swing? Its an odd question, I concede. A little out of left field to open a conversation in such a way. Let me try again. When was the last time you were in a swing and were going so high you felt the rope lose tension at the top and go slack, leaving you feeling for only an instant, that you might fall back to Earth? Who among us has been on a teeter totter in recent memory? For those of you who do not have children, and everyone else who does (that should pretty much cover everyone,) when was the last time you played hide and go seek? How many of us, with all the channels on TV at our disposal in this digital age, and archived videos on any number of websites, have watched a Bugs Bunny cartoon recently? Heres the biggie....who of my friends believes in the spirit of the holidays? Better still, who can say, honestly, they still believe in Santa? Where am I going with this? Simply this....remember when you were still in awe of the world and all of the possibilities and wonder that it provided? That magical feeling that NOTHING was outside the limits of your imagination. That Santa DOES EXIST AND DONT YOU DARE SUGGEST OTHERWISE BYGODSOHELPMESWEETMERCYFROMHEAVENABOVE!!! Do you? Do you remember that? Do you really remember that and how powerful it was. It was right! It was real! It was awesome! When is the last time you felt that? I hope for each of you that answer is right now.
