I have a scarf order that requires(d) me to study the flags of the countries the gentleman wants in his scarf. In the process, i got lost in also learning the meanings of the respective colours and some have left me reflecting on the current situations in their countries. Uganda, my motherland, the raised leg of our beautiful bird the crested crane means Uganda is not stationary but moving forward. IS UGANDA MOVING FORWARD when the police tortures journalists like....?? Well, some how, we have moved forward although am not so sure how life was in the past regimes. Our red colour means brotherhood with the rest of Africa and the world. Its the only country that embraces friendship in its flag. No wonder we won Miss Friendship at the Miss Tourism International 2013(Bravo to Lady Crane and the Ugandan Queen, Harriet)! SOUTHERN SUDAN~ the red colour symbolizes blood shed in the struggle for freedom. Is that why they are fighting till today? What kind of freedom are they fighting for any way? The gold five pointed star stands for unity of the states making up South Sudan:- are they realy united? RWANDA~ I love the yellow because it symbolizes among others, enlightment and transparency from ignorance. The blue means peace and happiness. Despite the 1994 Rwanda genocide that caused unhappiness and instability in Rwanda, i think Rwanda is now peaceful and happy. KENYA~the masai spears mean defense of freedom. Why am i hearing of bombs bombs? Have people been brainwashed to acquire freedom by killing? BURUNDI~ White means their wish for peace. Well, i pray their country has that peace. Hmmm, this is gonna be a master piece. Very beautifully designed to suit the customers wish; but very expensive too. However, affordable like the rest. Support a friend/sister by buying a scarf at marissasuperstylishscarves.wordpress. Choose the scarf u like, contact me, and itll be delivered to you wherever you are. Also fasten your seatbelts for the first ever scarf exhibition in Uganda. Thank you very much. Cheers!
