I have a soft spot for Brown Kurrajong (Commersonia bartramia) probably because it is the first rainforest plant I learned to identify. It is flowering now - a week or two earlier than usual. The white flowers are held above the foliage on the layered branches, looking like snow. Our North Coast NSW version of a white Christmas. The seeds are minute and hard to germinate. Nans technique was to put them dry into a blender, blend for some seconds, then pour in boiling water. Sow after the seeds had soaked overnight.
