I have a story worth of sharing. I was checking my vj.app at night as a preparation for the gig next day when I realised all my previously working builds perform very poorly on multiple videos replay. That was really confusing, I was checking my configs if Im running in multithread etc. After a while I recalled I needed to install some video converter app in the past. So there was a change that app installed some poorly written decoder. After installing my prefered mjpeg codec things went back to normal. Conclusion: never underestimate the power of codecs. You might have a cool vj app running perfectly optimized but as long as codecs are badly written or single-tread only things get catastrophic and who wants to play with only 25% of machine power? Push the limits to the max :) happy vjing .)
