I have a theory why Kanye West is in a league of his own and cant be compared to any other rapper, peep. Theres 8 types of rappers: 1. The old guys, these are rappers that arent hot but everyone respect them: Rakim, KRS, Chuck D etc. 2. The hot legends, rappers that are old but still relevant: Eminem, Nas, Jay, Lik Wayne etc. 3. The young ones. Rappers who been rappin for a while but not legendary like the ones that came before them: Jeezy, The Game, Ross, etc 4. Underground kings. Everyone respects them but they never got commercial success like that: Mos Def, Kweli, Immortal Tech etc. 5. The where are they now rappers. The rappers that disappeared: Chingy, mims, J-kwon. One hit wonders basically 6. The new school legends, theyre hot now and probably gonna be the next hot legends: Drake, Kendrick, Cole, Big Sean etc. 7. The theyre hot now but maybe they not gonna be soon rappers who still didnt prove themselves: Dej Loaf, Rich Homie, Troy Ave etc. 8. The kanye Wests, rappers who are kanye west: Kanye West. Lemme learn you why hes in a category of his own: Kanye doesnt fit with anyone. Hes more diverse and creative than anyone else and he always challenging himself to do new stuff.
