I have a very personal reason for picking this piece; It reminded me of a dream I had once long ago as a child. Id been walking to the edge of a grassy cliff slowly and instead of falling off, I sprouted golden wings from my back and slowly drifted up into the deep blue sky towards a palace that looks very much like the one in the painting featured today. I dont remember dreams as much any more, well not any where near as vividly; I dont know why. Maybe Im getting older, more stable, sleeping better? Maybe the dopamine levels in my brain are tapering off as I hit my middle age (well as a Doctor professionally thats what Ive been taught to believe). But I digress. As I look at this painting I see an image of something I symbolically aspire to; the idea of building the kingdom of heaven in your heart rather than conceiving it as a fictional entity that exists outside of yourself. Long ago I realised that everyone builds their own heaven and hells right around them based on their actions, interactions and intentions. The only regrets and happinesses you can truly know last in this lifetime. Everything else may descend and dissipate but your remains will outlast you and integrate with the universe in ways you may not truly comprehend and continue to live existences independent of you. To me this is a scary thought and one which makes me want to embrace as much of life as possible. artradio.tv/daroart2005/ I guess then I have an attraction to the fantasy work of David Roche a.k.a. Daroart2005 whose own sense of aesthetic is highly resonant and simply fantastic. David Roches work inspires a universal glee around the artradio.tv offices who really were unanimous in picking him to be featured but argued and bickered incessantly about which work to exhibit in this article. We love his sculpture as much as his paintings and think there are many delights to be found by browsing his portfolio on artradio.tv! His work is powerful, hyperdynamic and bold. Its colours give an exaggerated energy that infuses the cold, deliberate lines that permeate many of his works and fill them with life. This particular piece of acrylic on wood canvas feels like an ideal demonstration of that; an outstanding contribution to our website! It is an honour to be featuring such an accomplished, experienced and gifted artist on our website today and even though our awards can never truly do our artists justice we are proud to present this one today! Congratulations Daroart2005 you win, Best Art Feature artradio.tv/daroart2005/artwork/28433/ Artradio.tv wants to help more people discover Daroart2005s profile so they can enjoy and appreciate his art. You can help make this happen; share this article, like it, email, tweet the link to friends and let more people in the world see the great works of Daroart2005!
