I have a zero tolerance for any kind of cruelty towards or neglect of animals. Our pets are so faithful to us. They are our companions, our friends, our comfort at times, and much more, while asking so little in return . It is up to us to care for our pets, as they are entirely dependent on us to do so. Those who do not treat their pets well, do not deserve to own an animal. Our four legged family members are beautiful gifts from God, and they enrich our lives in so many ways. Abusing them in any form is unacceptable (to say the least), and I believe that the penalties for abusing an animal , in our court systems, are far from acceptable and need to be steeply raised.
