I have absolutely nothing against good, healthy competition. That said, I do have a problem with folks who compete against others on their same team. Seems like some think that it makes themselves look better when they can knock another down at the expense of the well-being of the team. When we work with folks, they are our team members. We need to remember to lift them up and help them out rather than pushing them out of the way in hopes of winning some invisible medal. I love the folks I work alongside. I know each of them is doing all they can to benefit the students we teach. I pray I have never been guilty of making someone else look bad to others or feel badly about their benefit as a member of our educational team. To all those with whom I teach now or have ever taught with in the past, you all are a marvelous and wonderful group of people. I thank God for placing you into my life as role models and friends. I have been blessed to work alongside the best, and you are!!
