His song is more like chattering, one might even suspect that noise is not a bird at all, but just a small insect. The female is the only one to incubate the eggs the male feeds and guards the nest on his sturdy legs. They hatching season is quite late, when most ripe fruit is ready both parents feed the new hatched chicks, so tiny and unsteady They love the cones of cedar trees, from which they have some fame Thats why the cedar tree, is part of this birds name. He has a crest thats flat, but yet a little plump it may even remind you, of a teenage Donald Trump The next time a birder yells, LOOK CEDAR WAXWINGS over THERE You might see der waxwing if youll only turn to stare.
