I have agonised about the following as I know that some people will come back at me and give me stick. however: I feel I owe it to all of our lovely supporters, because we try to be The Mane Chance Family, to let you know that we are letting our Oldies go quite soon. We have been monitoring their health and quality of life with our vet who has known them since they arrived and we also have a Mane Chance Euthanasia policy, based on compassion, that we follow. We are all agreed that the kindest and most loving thing for them all is to let them go in the next few weeks. They each have a potentially catastrophic age related ailment which we monitor and treat. We want them to go whilst they still have some quality of life, rather than in great pain and distress and we want them to move on together rather than one by one, which would be awful for them as they are all very close. So we have booked a date and it will be done very gently and peacefully, and their ashes will be returned to us, to be buried at the farm. I believe that death is just a beginning and that we are releasing them to move on together to their next big adventure, whatever it may be. It is a gift we can give them. Please understand that this is a very difficult thing for us to do and is entirely based on compassion.
