I have also been asked to post about about the best amounts sources and timings for protein intake. The difficulty here is that recommendations vary greatly depending on gender, activity levels and goals. I am going to answer this in a very general way, however if you want some more specific advice then feel free to private message me about a personalised plan where i calculate macronutrient requirements specifically for you. A typical serving of protein should be approx. 100-150g of any of the following: - Chicken - Lean beef - Turkey - Pork - Salmon - Tuna These will provide 20-30g of protein. Other good sources which will provide 15-20g protein include: - Eggs - Tofu - Cottage cheese - Quorn - Greek yogurt For normal healthy eating aim for 2-3 servings per day, for recreationally active then 3, for athletes then 4-5 and if you are aiming to bulk up or build muscle then 5-6. Again i need to emphasise that this is a very rough and general guide, if you want more specific advise then just get in touch :)
