I have always been so annoyed whenever I hear some people say weird food or strange food when they find foods that, they personally think unusual. There are bunch of videos on YouTube about strange/weird foods, some people say nasty, others say disgusting, and even some say aliens food. But dont you think that, those foods, that you think are disgusting, creepy, nasty etc, are actually very worth for those who own them. Sago worms, for example, you might probably think that they are too creepy even just to look at, but for Asmat people (Eastern part Indonesia), they are extremely worth that people eat them as staple food. They even have special ritual named Sago Worm Party. Similarly, Balut, a boiled, fertilized egg from the Philippines, might also be so disgusting and nasty for some people, but I do believe that it is also totally valuable for Philippines people. So, what I meant is, food, is a part of culture that every single country and race in this world, posses. I dont say it is wrong to be disgusted, but please, respecting other countrys cultures is so much important in order to create harmony among the countries/races. Stop calling them weird/strange food, say unusual food for me instead. Its simple, but really, its worthwhile.
