I have always questioned why God would design a wooden alter used - TopicsExpress

I have always questioned why God would design a wooden alter used to burn sacrifices. According to Exodus chapter 27, the alter was made of shittim wood, covered in brass. At first I thought the brass must be thick enough, and designed in a way to dissipate the heat. The flash point of wood is 572 degree F. (300 degrees C.). Because a fire is burning under the sacrifice, what would keep the wooden alter from over heating, and deteriorating? adventbiblestudy.wordpress/the-tabernacle-chapter-1-introduction/the-tabernacle-chapter-10-the-outer-court/
