I have always wanted to be a writer. 2015 is the year I start - TopicsExpress

I have always wanted to be a writer. 2015 is the year I start making that dream a reality. Id love to hear your feedback. Did anything resonate with you? Any phrases or sentences strike a chord? I wrote this at a recent journaling workshop from the prompt I am she and she is the one who... We were given 15 minutes to write spontaneously. It is raw, and vulnerable and emotional. Please share your comments with me below. And please SHARE my page with your friends if you think they might enjoy my style of writing. Thanks for reading! I am she and she is the one who nurtures me, loves me, accepts me and celebrates me. She has lived with me all my life; watching, encouraging, cheering me on. I have not seen her, acknowledged her, nor even wanted her. She has believed in me, embraced me and found my beauty. I have shunned her, for who was she? She did not matter to me, she did not count, she was not important. I was rising, working, gaining accolades, earning money. I was traveling, raising sons, meeting with businessmen. I was achieving. I was making my family proud. I was making my father proud. She was quiet. She was loving. She was giving. She loved me. I did not love her. I wanted the love of those who made me earn it. That was valuable. That was worthy. Free love was cheap. So I achieved, I rose, I traveled. I gave all of me to the elusive ones, the ones I could not grasp. And still, she stayed by me, with me, quietly; loving me, accepting me, encouraging me. Silently. Loyally. She stayed. Despite being pushed away, cast aside, ignored and unloved, she stayed. Then, without warning, I began to understand the importance of her, the necessity of her, the essence of her. When all the others had gone, and very few remained, she was there; loving me, accepting me, encouraging me. For I am she and she is the one who fills my soul and I am grateful for her. I love her.
