I have an American and a Nigerian passport. Each time I travel to Nigeria, I always use the Nigerian passport, the thought of getting a visa to go to my ancestral land is simply upsetting, plus I dont want to pay the steep visa fee. Last summer, I landed in Nigeria and was amused to see how Nigerians (including myself) were herded into this long line from hell while Westerners, mostly whites were treated with cringe-worthy obsequiousness and rushed off to better lines and red-carpet treatment. Why are we like this? Coming back home to America, the reverse was the case. Americans (my humble self included) were treated like landlords, with first class service. All aliens were waved into long lines. And the young man took one look at me and said, Welcome home. Yup, America is home. Next time I am paying for a visa to my old country. Who wan die? Nonsense!
