I have an abscess or something from a chipped/broken tooth. Ive had issues with my teeth & gums for a while now due to severe gingivitis, but never anything this bad. The lump/swelling has doubled in size in only 12 hours & the spot on my cheek is becoming more red as well. Its not that bad on the inside & around the tooth, which means the infection is down in my jaw. If it gets too bad, the infection can get into my blood stream & cause very serious heart issues! I dont have dental coverage so please pray that it doesnt get too bad! If it doesnt start getting better within 48-72 hours of being on the antibiotic, Ill be revisiting the emergency room. Does anyone have any tips on pain relief? Ive tried several OTC meds as well as ones prescribed specifically for the pain. Ice doesnt help & Ambesol/orajel only makes it hurt worse!
