I have an annual tradition: I spend New Years Day rearranging my clothes closet, dresser drawers, bookshelves, medicine cabinet, desk, etc... which in turn forces my habits and routines to be rearranged as well. My external cues are now scrambled and worn-out subconscious patterns erased - replaced with new ones which produce new thoughts and different creative insights. While doing this, I play Commencement Speeches from business leaders, entertainers and politicians. They run in the background as I move about and they often inspire and motivate me. Sometimes more so than others.
