I have an idea. What if the community raised the money through grants etc to open the water bottling plant ran by citizens of our community. It would be a privately owned company in which the residents of Greenwood are the shareholders with a percentage of the monies earned going back into the company and a percentage paying our shareholders and city hall .And not only could we benefit from the grants for capital to build the facility and purchase equipment. We could apply through the job creation portion of EI and have some of our employees wages paid for a certain amount of time making our margins even better. With this in place and proper marketing utilized we could see our residents living tax free from revenues made from our water. Since I get a phone call, e mail, text , or run into someone whom asks the question what is going on with our water. I thought it deserved to be a post for discussion. What do you think?
