I have an idea for a five part plan. 1) Meeting of businesses from all parts of the town centre asap. 2) Select two spokespersons from each part of town (list of zones to follow). 3) Set up a meeting with Bill Dixon, and relevant councillors and officers. 4) Calmly discuss what the reality is and the problems are. 5) Get some real understanding (which has to work both ways) in place, and implement a speedy plan of action between all these people, and solve a lot of our problems. This meeting should not happen in isolation, as it has to be an ongoing regular thing as the nature of town centres is to change constantly, and as new ideas and issues arise they need the same attention taking and the same mix of stakeholders and DBC people involved. Whos in favour??? P.S. Huge meeting dont work, which is why it hasnt worked in the past. Smaller meeting, less confusion, more results.
