I have an love/hate relationship with frontsquat... Fantastic exercise, but very hard for me to improve in. A ) Frontsquat 5 reps @ 40 kg 5 reps @ 60 kg 4 reps @ 80 kg 3 reps @ 100 kg 2 reps @ 120 kg 2 reps @ 140 kg 1 rep @ 156 kg Failed 161 kg... Got an advise to use weightlifting shoes in my frontsquats, tried it today, didnt really work out. I put on my flat shoes and moved on to 3 sec pause frontsquat 1 rep @ 100 kg 1 rep @ 120 kg 1 rep @ 140 kg 1 rep @ 150 kg (video - my yelling shows I was pretty happy to get the rep after a bad day of squatting) I saw a video directly from the side of the 161 kg squat and it is clear that the bar moves forward on the way down and that is why I fail, so in future workouts with frontsquat I need to try out two approaches. # 1: Smaller steps after 140 kg. # 2: Build up with paused reps, and slowly remove the pauses. B ) Muscle snatch 5 reps @ 35 kg 4 reps @ 55 kg 3 reps @ 65 kg 2 reps @ 75 kg 1 rep @ 80 kg 1 rep @ 85 kg 2 fails @ 90 kg I was negatively surprised that I failed 90 kg since 85 kg was very easy. 5 reps @ 75 kg C ) 4 rounds 10 Bent over row @ 75 kg 3 Box jumps (higher each set) D ) 4 rounds 10/10 Seated DB press @ 12.5 kg 15 Band face pulls 10 V-ups
