I have another query about a project i am doing, could anyone suggest a simple way to get power to an echo/roger beep box tgat im building which is going to be used on multiple different radios. Im mounting both boards into the bix, it has a mic input everything is wired up inside and has a stainless cable with a 4pin cobra/galaxy style plug comming out so ut will work on any radio with the same mic wiring. My problem is getting power to it. Right now it has power wires just hanging out tgat can be run off a power supply but im trying to keep the whole setup inside the box. So im wondering if i should either a) tap into a cobra style power cord so it has 2 power outputs (1for the radio ans 1 for the toy box or 2) is there a way anyine knows of to nake it have a self comtained power source inside the box so i dont need to run wires to a power supply to get power into the box for the echo and beep boards. Just want to make it as portable as i can, any suggestions. Would it be possible to have some type of battery supply inside the box to power them or do these boards have to much current draw to run batteries and uf not what would be the best batteries to use which wont die in like 5 mins. Ive got about a 3x3x4 inch area of empty space inside the box, but i dont know the actuall current draw of either boatds ket alone the 2 combined. Any suggestions are appriciated
