I have arrived. Now growing algae :). Heh. Yeah, not my goal but to be expected in aquarium-keeping, although my floating water lettuce once established is supposed to help keep algae down (by taking up the nutrients algae thrive on.) It means the algae-eating fish I get wont starve, when I introduce them. Need to do a partial water change today or tomorrow and start testing the water parameters. Need to get a sense for what the nutrient-rich soil is leaching into the water, and if in fact my insanely great filter is letting enough ammonia build up. I need the beneficial bacteria to colonize and kick the tank into cycle. Time the do some chemistry :).
