I have asked during a roundtable of 6 experts on Africa at political science conference what would they advise to policymakers to do in Syria. The answer was that they will not say anything cause they would make fool of themselves...then I remembered how we were talking in my class on public policy theories how terrible it is that policy makers do not listen to social scientists...but do the social scientist have courage to advise? or just to tell the world what happened once the events unfold. I am puzzled.
