I have been DRIVING my very own Harley (this is my 3rd one) for over 6 years now ~ I have NEVER dropped it or really had ANY mishaps, I usually lead, I dont cut up or act stupid, & I am a GREAT driver ! We pulled out this morning on our HDs headed to Conway to take care of a business matter & then hit 701 to Gtown in route to MUSC ... as I merged onto 501 from the ramp near ForestBrook I had to speed up to get in & that went well ~ then as the cars up ahead slowed the car in front of me did the same ~ when I looked up ( I was going to fast and had not let off the gas yet from merging) all I saw was red brake lights & a white trunk ! I stepped on the foot brake and it was on !!!!!!!!!!!!! I had NO IDEA that my life could have ended and what was in jeopardy ! the back tire locked up, squealed, smoke (burning tire smell) and the bike turned sideways as I fishtailed to the left, then right, I let off the brake and the bike stood back up and the front end swayed back and forth several times ! there are NO WORDS to describe to you what could/should have happened to me today ! Mr. Sessions was behind me and witnessed the whole thing....do you know how many times today we have looked at each other and just shook our heads ? he said watching it and knowing he couldnt help me & thinking/seeing that I could have been killed or damaged beyond repair...right in front of him....has messed us up today !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant imagine watching that happen to him...but, he had to endure that ~ the sweetest thing is this : Jamie said that he let GOD know how much he appreciated HIM taking care of ME ~ even with a helmet I dont believe I could have been saved...but, with OUT one....I know I would have been brain dead ~ you cant hit your head going 55mph on the road and be fine ~ YOU may believe in luck, coincidence, or timing ?????????? I believe in GOD~~~~~~~ and that is why I was watched over this morning ~ doesnt mean it couldnt/wouldnt happen and have a different turnout.....but, it does mean that on this 1 month anniversary of mamas death........that today .....she and GOD together watched over ME !!!!!!!!!!! Jamie assured me had I NOT let off the foot brake... the bike would have gone down! And rolled and toppled end over end :((((? as we passed by Conway Manor about an hour later...I started to cry and tipped my hat that 30 days ago I was there...out front...watching the hearse pull away with her in the back ~ and THANKING GOD that I wouldnt be doing the same ! (the song by Jamie Foxx was playing on my Ipod and it was HEAVEN WILL NEVER EVER EVER BE THE SAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he is right ~ today mama was telling her roll in the floor with your belly hurting stories to her loved ones ! and I am THANKFUL for that :} THANKS MAMA ~
